Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My throat is not sore, but my tonsils are very swollen. It seems like it gets worse after taking Allegra, and it did when I was on Nasacort previously, too. I have terrible allergies, too, and trying NOT to take the Allegra (which I just started, and bought a couple bottles of) is proving a very mixed blessing. My sinuses are all stopped up, and my throat is swollen - but I don t feel the slightest bit sick or sore besides that. How do I verify if it s a medicine allergy?
It could be tonsillitis. Nothing much to worry as it will settle well with antibiotics. Consult an ENT specialist and start a short course of antibiotics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
