What Causes Swelling In The Upper Abdomen After Taking Prednisone?
Hello. I was prescribed two weeks worth of Prednisone 20 mg tablets for inflammation. After taking them for 3 days, I notice a small amount of swelling in my upper stomach. No pain involved. My question is this - Will the swelling go down once my series of meds are finished?

Prednisolone may cause a stomach bloating or swelling of the abdomen as a side effect. I recommend using anti-ulcer medication. You can use Omeprazole 20my daily in the morning before breakfast.
