What Causes Swelling In Throat After A Flu?

Hi, I am a 40 yr old female with asthma. I weigh about 135 and I am 5 3.I was sick two weeks ago with the flu. Since then, I still have a slight cough and get a sore throat almost every night with symptoms subsiding by morning. I just noticed that the left side of my throat is swollen an red veins are clearly visible only on that side only. I have never had a sore throat that has lasted this long. Should I be concerned?

Hello

Yes i think you should be a bit worried and meet your ent doctor as soon as possible. single sided enlargement or swelling in the throat is not normal and definitely needs to be evaluated by a doctor. you may be having a throat infection and will need antibiotics for it.
Please meet your doctor as soon as possible.

Thanks
