Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that he has been bitten by some poisonous organism. bee/insect and the poisonous chemical that has been injected by the bee stinger has led to swollen thumb and
seizure like attack can be due to severe
anaphylactic reaction..
The injection of
benadryl that is an anti allergic has led to suppression of the
allergy symptoms leading to improvement..
I would suggest you to keep a watch on your brother and his activities and in case if there is any discomfort immediate medical assistance should be taken..
You should take a keen look at the sting site and if the stinger is still present embedded under the skin you can remove it on your own or get it removed by a doctor..
Take oral anti-allergics like benadryl or allegra[fexofenadine].
Do cool compresses over the swelling..
Yu can apply a numbing gel and a
steroid ointment over it..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
