Hi, I had a swelling near armpit, little above bicep muscle. It was very painful, red and i felt pus. I was put on antibiotics - 2 courses, first pills and then through IV as it was not healing. IV helped and it vanished. All this 3 months ago. swelling appeared again - same symptoms. Doctor suggested antibiotics and ultrasound. It was full of pus and ultrasound indicated a small blood clot which was probably preventing the healing. It grew bigger and pain was untolerable. I got it lanced and was put on antibiotics again through IV. Wound is not taking long to heal and it seems it has started again to fill with pus. Could it be something serious?
