What Causes Swelling Near Vaginal Entrance Post Intercourse Followed By Shaving?

I am almost 50.. I Had just shaved my private and had sexual intercourse with my husband. It was a little dry when we did it. A day or two after I noticed a little swelling like a little ball at the right side wall on the entrance to my vagina. Was this caused because of the shaving and the dryness? What should I put on it? Will it go away on its own?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to bartholin cyst. This occurs due to inflammation or blockade of bartholin gland ducts. Hot fomentation and betadine ointment application locally will be helpful. If it persist then get an examination with a gynecologist. Excision of cyst might be required in such case.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
