What Causes Swelling Of Knee And Foot With Low Sugar Levels?
hi. my husband is diabetic and has heart issues. his knee over the last couple of days has been hurting, and now is swollen from the knee down to his foot. his sugar levels have been low and in the 60s for the last week or so. what are your recommendations? He is calling the VA tomorrow, but I am not sure how urgent a matter this is.

I really appreciate your concern, this may not be any thing to worry, if no lesion is there, some time this could be due to arthritis changes in knee joint, if this is so then knee joint must not be bent too much, ask him to keep the leg in elevated position till then NSIAD (Non steroid anti-inflammatory drug) can be tried, hope this information helps, take care.
