What Causes Swelling Of Right Hand Upto The Middle Of Forearm?
My right hand is swelling up. It is swelled up to the middle of my fore arm. I don t remember doing anything to it. I went to take my gloves off today and it felt like a bruise. I looked down and it was swelled up a little. I just noticed the rest of it swelled up. Should I just wait for it to go down?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swelling of right hand upto the middle of forearm. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like hand injury , carpal tunnel syndrome , hypothyroidism , vein thrombosis or lymphedema. I would suggest you to keep your hand in hot water tub with espom salt for 15 minutes daily , give your hand proper rest , and keep your hand elevated while lying down . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment if condition doesn't get well . Doctor may order CT scan along with physical therapy along with particular stretching exercises . Doctor may also recommend anti inflammatory or antibiotics for infection. Doctor may refer you to endocrinologist for thyroid problem or allergy specialist for allergic reaction .
