What Causes Swelling On Face And Pain In Mouth While Sinus Infection?

Not too long ago, I had a sinus infection. Along with it, came the swelling of the right side of my face. Not very noticeable. Mainly the right cheek. I noticed the pain was coming from inside my mouth. As the swelling went down, I barely noticed there was a large red sore on my gums. Today, it is leaking pus. Whats going on?

hai,

as you got sinus infection possibly of bacterial infection.
swelling in the face is because of the inflammation in the maxillary sinuses (maxillary sinuses are located below the cheeks, above the teeth and on the sides of the nose) .

as you got infection in the above mentioned sinus possibility of transmission into the gums and oral cavity will occur. that cause you pain and pus .

thank you
hope i answered your query.
