Hello,

Most seemingly diagnosis is salivary gland swelling with parotid gland inflammation as parotitis from viral infection of the gland. Kindly consult your GP for further guidance in this regard, till that time be careful to:
- Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids
- Avoid exposure to cold
- Avoid consumption of beverages and cold drinks
- Prefer warm soup and other liquids
- Avoid stuffs needing to chew much for eating
- Prescription of antibiotics and supportive anti inflammatory medicines from doctor
- Avoid smoking (if applicable)

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
