Hi,

Which type of knee surgery has she undergone? Post surgery edema may be due to infection or effusion due to inflammation or collection and white spots may be posted steroid injection-related depigmentation or vitiligo or fungal infection, etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Elevate the limb, use cold compression and warm compression. Painkillers medication and antibiotics may useful. Please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
