Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has a swollen lower eye lid that had the appearance of a yeast infection that worsened in 2-3 days. She was seen by an ophthalmologist who gave her an antibiotic with steroid cream to apply. After using it one evening she woke up and her swelling as well as the rash was worse. I had some antifungal cream and was used a cotton tip applicator to apply it to the rash and kept it away from her eye. It seems to be clearing up now but still have no idea what it is or what caused it. Can you help?
It seems that it was an infection which responded to antibiotics. Steroids were able to curtail the inflammatory response. Now be careful about hygiene and let her not rub the eyes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
