Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic.
I understand your concern.
Swollen lower lip can be caused by:
1.Food allergies, such as seafood (fish, shrimp, crab), eggs, nuts, and so on
2. Drug allergies
3.
Contact dermatitis, for example due to the use of lip color (lipstick, lipbalm)
4.
Angioedema, etc.
As a first step, here are some things you can do:
1. Avoid foods / drugs that allegedly trigger the emergence of allergic reactions, such as seafood or eggs
2. Compress the swollen area with a clean towel soaked in cold water or ice
3. avoid spicy and hot foods or drinks
4. Avoid touching or rubbing the
swollen lip area
5. Drink a lot of water
6. You can take
cetirizine or loratadine twice a day or using
hydrocortisone topical cream on the affected area.
If the complaint does not improve within 3 days, see your doctor immediately for further examination and treatment.
Regards,
Dr. Nurul Falah
