What Causes Swelling On The Lower Neck Below The Ear?

I have noticed swelling on the right side of lower neck, below my ear around 15 years back. I got testing done and doctor said there is nothing apart swelling. Recently I faced neck pain so I have taken the scanning and underwent FNAC. It is showing the development of multiple nodes in the lower neck. The FNAC report is strongly suggestive of Tuberculosis. started the treatement but I forgot to ask this question to doctor Could you pls clarify for the below question Q1. can I have sex , is it safe to the partner. Q2. Is Lymphnode TB is infectious? And what are the reasons for this disease.

Hello,

Yes, you can do intercourse with your partner. Lymph node Tuberculosis is not infectious until and unless you developed sinus discharge of node to touch bare/injured skin of your partner.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
