What Causes Swelling, Pain And Soreness On Gums Behind The Top Molar?
My gum behind my top right molar is swollen, sore, a little pale, and it also hurts to chew on that side. I do not have any wisdom teeth I was born with out them, I also dont have any adult teeth to replace both top teeth that are three up from my back molar.
So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it..
As per your complain painful swollen gum behind upper molar tooth can be due to either any infection in the area due to food impaction, traumatic injury with some hard food while can also be due to Pericoronitis caused due to impacted wisdom tooth..
As the wisdom teeth are not present in milk teeth set, therefore you need to get an x ray of the area done to confirm whether you have impacted wisdom teeth or not or is due to some other cause..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine to relieve pain.. Do warm saline gargles and also betadine gargles.. Take soft diet..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
