What Causes Swelling, Soreness And Pain In Breasts When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia?
hi im Stephanie a 47yo female with fibromyalgia and as of October 3rd 2015 rheumatoid arthritis. recently noticed the nipples of both breasts increase in size and extremely painful to touch. in 2006 had a total hysterectomy leaving both healthy ovaries intact. any explantions for this absurd pain??!!
The extreme pain with swelling both breasts indicate fibroadenosis changes from hormone imbalance , estrogen deficiency or others. In my clinic, I do recommend: - Plenty of liquids to maintain hydration - Evening prime rose oil for local use - Supplements of vitamin E - Anti-inflammatory and analgesic tablets
After a trial therapy of a week or so for above measures if needed I recommend hormone evaluations with or without ultrasound of the breast soft tissue for further management.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
