What Causes Swelling Under The Head Of The Penis After Circumcision?

My 6 year old son was circumcised 7 days ago. He had a lot of swelling under the glans that is slowly subsiding. It looks like a small area of skin is attached to the glan in the middle over the swelling. I am concerned if this is okay or if the shin reattached.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your query and I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing. As a physician I would like to advise you that you should give it some time after Circumcision surgery to let the swelling get down. If the swelling s increasing then only it is a serious concern.

Thus I would suggest that you should wait and follow instructions and medicine course as given by your physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
