Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently noticed what appears to be an enlargement under my tongue which when I extend my tongue to the roof of my mouth hurts a little...BUT, no fever or discomfort unless I move my tongue to irritate underneath. I have not been able to find anything online.
Dear patient, there are mostly lymphnodes under the tongue which can get swollen due to something as small as an ulcer to any infection. In your case it is a non specific swelling mostly, irritation is just because of lack of space. Not to worry, it shall subside in some days. if it doenot decrease in size, increses any further or bleeds, pls visit a oromaxillary physician/ surgeon.
