What Causes Swelling, redness And Pain In Knee Radiating Towards Feet?

I woke up yesterday with significant swelling, redness and pain to the touch, beginning half past my knee and continuing through my feet. This is occurring in both legs. It s a Saturday night, 4th of July, should I be overly concerned and go to the ER or is this something that I can address with my physician on Monday?

thank-you user for your query.
kindly tell your weight as that might help in differentiating between osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Also get the rheumatoid factor done. If you have positive rheumatoid factor then you have to start taking medication for rheumatoid arthritis. Also get the X-ray of the knee in both AP and lateral view done. Consult any rheumatologist with all your investigations, for the time being you may take any NSAIDs and local oinent for removing of your knee pain. Take tab neurobion too. exercise is also beneficial for rheumatoid arthritis.
god bless you
