Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swollen And Itchy Vein Along The Crease Of Buttocks?
I have had chronic hemorrhoids for a while now, and recently had another flair up. The hemorrhoid itself has subsided aside from the skin tag that remains, but along crease of the buttocks beside the skintag is what looks and feels like a swollen line/vein. it s firm, itchy and burns a little. what could it be?
The condition you are facing most probably is varicose veins disease. Varicose veins are dilated, often distorted, and swollen veins that may be painful. lack of movement, obesity, pregnancy, and long-standing duties are the normal causes. Proper medical treatment is required. Wearing skin tight stocking might regress the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammad Bilal Khan, General & Family Physician
