Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a swollen area on the right side of my groin, above and to the right of my genitals. It is lightly swollen and occasionally there is a slight twinge. No Pain. Last night I noticed that just the area that is swollen has become numb. Any ideas?
Swelling in the pubic area can be due to trauma or allergy to the region. Numbness is usually related to compression of nerve. I suggest you to consult a neurologist for clinical assessment by a physician for diagnosis and thus management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
