What Causes Swollen And Painful Tonsils Along With White Spots In Throat?
Hello I have a friend who uses meth on rare occasions but he experiences swollen tonsils and there is a white or yellow membrane on them as well as the back of the throat. He says there s pain in swallowing and he has a dry mouth. He says the swollen tonsils causes excruciating pain.
Understanding your concern. As per your query swollen and painful tonsils along with white spots in throat is due to sore throat and associated lymph node enlargement which is due to infection in throat due to streptococcus bacteria. I would suggest you to take preventive measures such as do warm saline gargles on daily basis. Take combination of antibiotic such as Amoxicillin and anti- inflammatory drugs. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for aspiration cytology of the lymph node can be done to know the cause of lymph node enlargement. Once proper doagnosi has been made start treatment accordingly. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take steam inhalation as well.
