What Causes Swollen And Puffy Hands, Feet And Face?

if only hands, feet and face are very swollen and puffy , and have not felt good for a while, could this be signs of diabetes or kidney failure? I have a sister out of state not doing well, and a bad alcohol addiction over the past 10 years! No proper diet and extreme amounts of stress. Thanks.

Thanks for posting your query on HCM!
Age & gender not mentioned.
I can understand your problem.
As per the findings mentioned in your case you must consult a doctor for a properly conducted examination and relevant investigations.
I am of the opinion that hypofunctioning of thyroid, kidney disease may be the cause behind your present illness.
Alcohol intake well, it has been proved time again and again by the scientist can cause liver damage the most common and infact it can virtually affect all the organs of the body causing harmful effects.
So get the thyroid function tests, kidney function tests, liver function tests in addition to fasting blood glucose and cholesterol.
Regards!
