What Causes Swollen Ankles And Rashes In The Foot After Excessive Walking?

I recently went on a trip with lots of walkong. My ankles swollen up and followed with a itchy rash. This continued for several days getting bigger and moving up toward my caalf area. I was on a bus daily but short trips of less then 2 hours. I did lots of walking. This swelling happened a few years ago with a trip which required lots of walking. But this year I also got the rash. I am home now and everything is back to normal. Should I be concerned with the swelling and rash which I experienced? Is this a kidney or heart concern?

In case of renal failure skin rashes may be the indicative symptom.
But in your case relating the rashes with renal complain is little early.
To make sure it required to go through some diagnostic test and clinical findings.

first, I would suggest to analyze your self if you have any urinary trouble , foamy urine, swelling in the body, loss of appetite nausea etc then their are chances that the skin problem are associated with renal failure.
Secondly i would suggest you to go for Renal function test to rule out the status of kidney.

you may also visit to your physician with diagnostic finding to clear all your doubt.
