What Causes Swollen Ankles And Spots On Feet?

I work alot on my feet.Recently my ankles have been swelling up and i have gotten some discoloration in spots on my feet and lower part of my legs. they dont hurt . Iam 46 years old. iam a smoker . Iam overwheight 250lbs 5foot 3. any idea why my legs are doing this?
