What Causes Swollen Area On The Side Of Penis In A Kid?

my 22 month old son had a small swollen area on the left side of his penis. It hurts if you touch it, and seems to be in discomfort when he goes pee. He has also been pulling at his diaper in the front, I think it is when he is peeing. The swollen area doesn t area red or pussy, but I can tell it hurts. He has been super fussy today.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The description what you have given appears that the child might have had allergic skin reaction to diaper leading to swelling and might have been going in for 'paraphimosis'. It might need surgical intervention.
Kindly get your child evaluated by a Surgeon or more preferably Pediatric Surgeon for appropriate advise and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
