Hello,
Eating too much salty food, being
overweight, side effects of certain medicines like blood pressure medicines,
contraceptive pills, antidepressants or
steroids, medical conditions like thyroid issues, liver or kidney issues, etc may cause swollen arms and stomach. You are suggested to do regular exercise and walking. Avoid sedentary lifestyle. Since you have a history of alcoholic live disease you should avoid spicy, oily junk food, cut on carbs and sugars, stay away from dairy products and refined flour.
Cut on addictions if any, take fruits, berries, veggies, whole cereals and home made nutritious food. Get a thorough medical examination done, get blood and imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you the discomfort and get treated at the earliest. You should reduce weight and maintain healthy BMI. You get the pain because your BMI is high for the system to support. Take boiled food and to ease out pain you can take
Acetaminophen or
Combiflam, one SOS when needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
