Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a swollen clitoris with some blisters. Very painful especially when passing urine. Doctor suspects herpes but I have no idea how I can have a std being married to one man for 10 years. I m wondering if it could be contact dermatitis considering I used a hair removing cream before I developed the blisters.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. From on your description, it appears that you could be having acute inflammatory reaction in the clitoris region due to use of hair removing cream. Kindly do the following to overcome it. 1. Wash the region with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily. 2. Apply Neomycin with Hydrocortisone over the region after drying. 3. Take antiinflammatory medication like Ibuprofen after food. 4. Take anti-allergic medication Tablet.Levocetirizine once daily. 5. Wear loose fitting undergarments to avoid friction and provide proper ventilation. 6. Abstain from sexual activities till the lesions heal completely. Hope the information provided would be helpful. Wish you good health.
