I m currently on 7mg of pred for RA and started to develop acne. It s really bad right now because I also have my period. I had a boil that drained near my belly button. I also have a yeast infection. Yesterday I noticed the outside of my left nostril is red and painful when touched. It seems hard like a underdeveloped pimple. I put a warm compress on it. In the morning my nose was stuffy. I used a tissue and removed dried blood from the left nostril. The edge of the nostril is dry, swollen slightly and painful. Not sure if I have a boil developing or possibly inside my nose. Any ideas?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history and concerns. Acne due to prednisolone, RA, weakened immunity and so on has taken its toll. The one developed on the side of the nose is in cellulitis stage and needs proper antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medication. Do not press or pop as it can spread the infection more. Consult your Doctor to get a clinical evaluation and proper treatment. Taking multivitamins and probiotics do help in a long run. I hope this answer helps you.
