Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. It is good that your daughter is conscious, oriented and having no deficit.
The swelling around eye or eyes after
forehead injury occurs sometimes due to shifting of blood and fluid from forehead scalp layers to eye's skin layers. The swelling and bruise subside on its own in 10 to 14 days.
You can follow few tips to fasten relief
: Apply icepacks at swelling site 3 to 4 times daily
: Keep her head at higher level than chest. While going for sleep, ask her to use more pillows to keep her head at higher level
: You can give her painkillers like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription which also reduce
redness and swelling
: You can give her
serratiopeptidase enzyme formulation after proper prescription which decreases swelling
: Wait for 10-14 days
: Still no relief, you can
consult doctor.
The water slushing sound is due to fluid collection in skin layers. It moves with head movement and gives water slushing sound. It will subside with subsidence of swelling.
Hope it will help you.
Thanks. Take care.
