What Causes Swollen Eyes And Blisters On The Lips While Having Multiple Sclerosis?

My husband got sunscreen in his eye on Saturday, 4 days ago, and tried to wash it out with water, which only seemed to make it worse. Last night his eye was in pain, and this morning he woke up with a swollen upper eye lid. He also has a fluid filled blister on his lips. Could he be having an allergic reaction to the sunscreen? He has multiple sclerosis, too. Could that be linked?
