What Causes Swollen Feet And Hands With Blotches All Over The Body?
Yes, I have a five year old grandson suffering from swollen and painful feet and hands with blotches all over and red face with welts. He s been this way since Tuesday and his doctor put him on predisone. No help at this point It hurts him to walk and is having trouble sleeping. He did have strawberries on Tues.
Swollen feet and hand with blotches all over the body may be indicative of angioedema. There are various causes like allergic reactions (by insects, pollen, dander, autoimmune conditions or infections, etc). Do continue to give prednisone that has been prescribed by your treating doctor. If your grandson is not improving or the symptoms are getting worse, you are suggested to take him to ER. He may be experiencing anaphylaxis & needs imediate medical attention. Antihistamnes may be helpful but should be given in ER, under observation. Keep him well hydrated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
