What Causes Swollen Feet While On Nitrofurantoin?
I took Macrobid (Nitrofurantoin), for a uti for one week, and at the end of the14 pills, my feet are swollen and I have a rash from my thighs down, no other problem, I am an 85 year old female with Parkinson s, no tremors but freezing and poor balance. I take carbidopa/levodopa 25/100

If you are having Urinary tract infection and having swollen legs then this need to be differentiated with renal condition because this could be due to the retention of urine may Nephritis, condition need to be taken seriously again you have some cardiac elements too, so this could be cardiac failure also, such case need several investigations, hope these information helps.
