What Causes Swollen Glands In The Neck?

swollen glands in the neck, no sore throat....swallowing is no problem....kinda hurts if head is tilted to the shoulder or tilted forward/backward....no temp....do not have allergies.....began 3 days ago....I have no insurance.....I thought this was free.....sorry for your trouble

Thanks for the query..

It looks like there is infection in the lymph nodes that is causing swelling and pain..
It can be due to Infection in any nearby part of body that drains in these specific group of lymph nodes..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room Physician and get evaluated and a thorough examination​ can be done..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Advil, Aleve etc.
You should also do cool compresses over the swelling to reduce inflammation that will help in reducing swelling..
If the swelling and pain does not improve in a week to ten days then you can get an FNAC done..
