Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen glands in throat, excessive mucous can be due to
throat infection which can be either bacterial [strep throat] or viral [mono] in nature..
The small bumps on the back of tongue is possibly Circumvallate papilla which contains
taste buds and it is in the form of small raised bumps on the back of tongue and is arranged in a typical "V" shaped pattern..
It is normally slightly raised but can further get inflamed and swollen during inflammation in throat due to close proximity with the throat..
You should consult a physician and get evaluated for the exact nature of the infection or the symptoms can also be due to
Acid reflux if associated with some
stomach discomfort or burning or heaviness in chest..
You can do warm saline gargles..
Throat lozenges can be relieving..
For bacterial infection a course of antibiotics like
Azithromycin 5mg one daily for 5 days can be taken..
Drink plenty of water and avoid spicy foods to prevent further
throat irritation..
In case of acid reflux
Pantoprazole 4O mg twice daily and taking antacid like Digene half an hour before meals can help..
Avoid acidic and spicy foods and drink plenty of water..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
