What Causes Swollen Glands, Popping In The Ears, Pressure In The Ears, Neck Pain In The Back And Lots Of Headaches?

Hello, I been having the same symptoms for a few weeks now, swollen glands, popping in the ears, pressure in the ears, neck pain in the back, lots of headaches, I was referred to an ENT and he didnt see any signs of infection although he gave me penicillin, it did not work and I am still feeling the same thing, I recently took blood work and am waiting for the results, the ENT and General Dr. have no clue what this can be thus far?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per query you have symptoms of swollen glands, popping in the ears, pressure in the ears, neck pain in the back and lots of headaches. Ear pressure, neck pain are the symptoms you should be concerned about. I would suggest you to get prescribed antibiotics first of all. Visit ENT specialist once and get an X-ray of the paranasal sinuses to confirm the diagnosis and check for any blockage of the sinuses. Do steam inhalation 2-3 times in a day. Steam is a very good nasal decongestant; it helps in reducing your problem sooner. Use saline nasal spray as frequently as possible. Saline is also a powerful decongestant without any side effects. Drink plenty of warm water. Avoid smoking/coffee/chilled food and beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
