General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

I would recommend an x ray of the affected regions and also a blood sample to be provided to the laboratory to check on the following:

+RA factor
+CRP
+ESR
+White blood cell count
+Serum uric acid level

A detailed history will also be required, without which I cannot really comment on the cause. But currently, the causes could be related to conditions like gout, high serum uric acid, arthritis, etc. Please consult a GP or an orthopedician for a more detailed evaluation.

Best wishes.
