General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Clinical cases have illustrated the potential for opioids to cause peripheral edema, reversible on withdrawal or change of opioid but sometimes reversible spontaneously if edema is minor. The etiology of peripheral edema is not clear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH
