What Causes Swollen Legs And A Red Spot In A Diabetic Patient?
Three weeks ago my legs started swelling so bad from the knees down that you couldn t find my ankles. On my lledt leg. I developed a large red spot, about 5 by 6 . I have gone to my regular doctor and he sent me to a specialist on arteries and veins. Neither doctor could find anything wrong except for retaining water being as I am a diabetic. They said the red spot is from the akin being pulled so tight. They swelling has gone down but the red spot has increased covering my of the front of my lower leg. It has also turned a darker red, almost with a purple tint. I have had an ultrasound with no blood clots found. The specialist has checked my verucose veins and arteries and found everything clear. The spot also has heat in it and kind of hurts and throbs. Can you please help me?
