Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 81 year old husband has diabetes; no insulin, only Metformin. His legs are swollen, red and puffy and scaley. His doctor prescribed Triamcinolone .1% cream to be applied 3 times a day for a week, plus 10MG Furosemide. After 5 days, I don t see uch progress in his swollen legs and while his legs aren t as dry they seem to be developing more red bumps. He has been sitting outdoors out of the direct sun. What do you think?

What Causes Swollen Legs While On Metformin?
Hello, It is not related to metformin. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
