What Causes Swollen Lymph Node Along With Headache And Facial Pain?
I have a prominent swollen gland under my chin. It is pretty hard and tender. I also have been getting sinus, facial pain and headaches around the back of my head and neck. I took some allergy meds and that helped with the headaches and sinus pain. Do you think the swollen gland goes along with allergies?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your query a prominent swollen gland under my chin that is hard and tender along with a medical history of sinus infection or sinusitis and allergies.. Well, the swollen submental group of lymph nodes is all due to sinus infection.. Other cause can be infection in submental salivary gland than is also present under the chin.. I would therefore suggest you to consult an Emergency room and get a clinical examination done and if needed an x ray can be done.. You can be advised antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers and do cool compresses over the swelling.. A steroid shot can be given to reduce swelling faster..
Hope this helps..
Regards...
