What Causes Swollen Lymph Node Behind Ear, Neck And On Scalp?

I have swelling in my lymph nodes behind my ear and at some spots on the neck and scalp..took medicines for about two weeks which reduced the number of swollen nodes and then my doctor asked me to discontinue the medication. Now it has been over 6 weeks and they re still not gone. Should I be worried? What can be the possible causes?

Lymph node swelling occurs due to the infection in nearby draining area. The infection results in swelling of nodes and pain is also associated. A course of antibiotics is required. Wait for some time to dissappear. If not, then FNAC or biopsy may be carried out.
