Hello Sir I have a quick question. I have what i think could be a swollen lymph node in my armpit. Its movable if i push into the armpit and gives me no pain. However there is no mistaking that it is there and has been for a couple of weeks. Please could you give me some rough advice I will consult a GP soon. Thank you in advance!
Hi Lymph node enlargement in armpit which is painful is due to infection which is drained from the neighbouring area. Lymph nodes in normal condition is not palpable. It is palpable only in condition where some kind of infection or deposits are there. It is better to have a course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory. If it persists, then aspiration cytology or biopsy may be taken.
