Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I have a (one single) swollen lymph node in the groin area. It used to be on the left, and has since gone down, and is swollen on the right side. What could be the cause of this? Is there need to worry? It kind of comes with allergies, but appears every week or so.
Hi A swollen lymph node in most cases always indicates a local infection when immune cells in particular areas react to the infection.Right groin lymph node swelling could be caused by a local infection or a mass on the right leg.I suggest you get the leg examined for wound or swelling. If nothing seen, just observe. An antiinflammatory pain medication will help to reduce the swelling and pain. Best regards
