Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck Along With Profuse Sweating?
I have swollen, painful lymph nodes on one side of my neck. Other symptoms are chronic eye infection in one eye and runny nose on that side. My doctor has ruled out sinus issues, I also stay continiously hot and sweat alot, any idea what can cause these symptoms
As per your query you have symptoms of swollen lymph nodes in the neck along with profuse sweating which seems to be due to lymphadenitis of neck lymph node and it could be due to tooth infection. I would suggest you to start with proper course of antibiotics such as Azithromycin 250 mg for 3 days for infection to subside. Avoid spicy and rough food. Take diet rich in soft food. Sip on lukewarm water and take throat lozenges. Take anti inflammatory medications. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Maintain oral hygiene and do warm saline gargles. Doctor may also refer you to dentist for tooth infection. Get blood tests done if required.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
