General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The swelling involving lymph nodes is secondary to drainage area involvement to clear the infection of upper respiratory tract. Though it does not sound like a mumps, but a doc consultation with prescription of needed antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications is a must demand of time to prevent further complications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
