What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes On Left Side Of Neck And Breathlessness?
My 25 year old daughter has 2 swollen lymph nodes on the left side of her neck. The results of her throat culture were negative. She has a terrible taste in her mouth. She also has shortness of breath and coughing. I am very worried. Should she see an ear, nose and throat specialist next?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen lymph nodes under neck along with bad taste in mouth and shortness of breath, coughing can be seen in a few conditions like Bronchitis, Allergies, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, etc.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist or a Pulmonologist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical examination and investigations like chest x Ray and treatment can be planned accordingly.. As of now you can give her anti allergics like Benadryl, cough suppressant like Dextromethorphan and Guaifenesin.. Steroid inhalers can also help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
