What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes Under The Chin After Taking Diphenhydramine?
Last night I took 25mg diphenhydramine HCl at 9:30, then I was still awake at 10:00 and took another 25 mg and then at 10:30 I took two tablets of Motrin PM with 38 mg each of diphenhydramine and 200 iburpron. By 11:00 I was sweating with cold shakes, Today, my two glands are swollen under my chin on each side. We leave tomorrow morning for out of the country to the Middle East and I need to know if this swelling will gradually subside or what else I should know while on the plane all night and landing in Dubai. I do not normally take any medicine. The AARP nurse told me last night the amount I took for my 165 pounds was ok. I just need to know if the swelling will go down and I should be okay. Thanks.
Swollen lymph nodes under the chin are indicating signs of infection.. So my suggestion to you is to consult an Emergency room so that they can advise you a course of antibiotics like Augmentin [Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium] along with anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. You should also do cool packs over the swelling.. You can soak a wash cloth in cold water and apply for a few minutes so that it absorbs heat.. Hope fully the symptoms will get better soon..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
