What Causes Swollen Painful Gland In Throat Post Lymph Node Removal?
Hello I had a swollen lymph node in my neck exactly 2 years ago that was removed it turned out to be okay. But now its in my throat area im not sick I did have a sinus infection that was treated 2 weeks ago and now I have a swollen gland in my throat area and it hurts.
Hello , Welcome to healthcaremagic.com and thanks for sharing your concern with us . Your complaints are suggestive of lymphadenitis which means an infection in gland which is actually seen as a complication of any bacterial , viral or fungal infection . Such glands can also be indicative of any other infection as well which should be evaluated on clinical examination . Such glands , in most of the cases , comes back to it's normal size if proper treatment is started soonest according to the pathogen . Most commonly any bacterial infection is considered the culprit and proper antibiotics and antiinflammatory medicines resolves the condition . I would strongly recommend you to get it checked with your PCP and take proper treatment . I wish you good health. Best Regards , DR.S.TOMAR
