Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swollen Painful Lymph Node On Right Side Under Clavicle?
I just discovered a swollen, painful lymph node on the right side on/under my clavicle. Tenderness/pain extends about midway up the right side of my neck. No other obvious symptoms of an infection. What do you think? What I have read on some of the more reputable sites is not exactly encouraging.
It is called cervical adenitis. It can be due to some infection in neck. What infection can be confirmed by FNAC. It is a needle test and does not need much time or cause pain. If we can confirm our diagnosis. Most probably it is bacterial infection.
